We are fortunate to have wonderful help and a stable of talented, caring teachers. We couldn’t do it without them!
Taylor Chona: Taylor is the spinner behind the Taylspun yarns we carry, and is your fiber guide now on Saturdays at the shop! A talented spinner, knitter, and all around wonderful person.
Vicky Thompson: Vicky now fills in as needed, and she is British, not Irish :). A talented knitter, she makes patterns up as she goes along, and can knit like lightning!
Katie Arther: Katie helps out on occasional Sundays. She loves to knit for babies, and has multiple projects going on at once. As we all should.
Madeline Pantalena: Maddie helps out working, and also teaches many classes for adults and children. She is a multi talented fiber artist, who knits, crochets, spins, weaves, dyes–and does them all well.
Mary Crosby: Mary, “The Fiber Elf”, is a knitting teacher, but she is much more than that. She spins, dyes yarn and fiber with natural dyes, and is a school nurse by day. She teaches our Thursday Night Knitters classes, which are technique based, as well as private lessons and kids knitting classes. She is also helping out with our Summer 2014 ‘Food and Forage” dye workshops, and will also teach spinning techniques during 2014 Summer Sunday Spin-ins.
Susan Snider: Susan is our spinning and weaving teacher, who now resides in Vermont. She generously still comes down to teach often, and we are grateful!
Shannon Herrick: aka “The Spun Monkey”, Shannon resides in Vermont also (should MadWool have an outpost there?), and regularly teaches wet felting and spinning techniques. A talented dyer, she dyes fiber and yarns under her own label as well as works at Frabjous Fibers, a VT company that carries lovely spinning and knitting supplies (carried at MadWool).
Janis Witkins: A talented dyer (Two Hands Knitting), Janis is also a magnificent knitting teacher. MadWool carries her line of gradient sock yarns, perfect for shawls.
