Camp Pluckyfluff Madison...a creative spinners dream
Ashley Martineau
23 of us came, spun, plucked and fluffed with Lexi Boeger, aka Pluckyfluff (www.pluckyfluff.com). Lexi is a published author of 3 books on creative spinning and patterns (her first, self published, is out of print. I have an autographed copy at the shop for you to look at).
This was my third camp with her, my first organizing. With the help of Laura Lyons and her husband Mark, we held the Camp at their home, Wildwood Farm. An amazingly beautiful setting for some amazing spinning and the exchanging of ideas! Most of the Campers were from Connecticut, and a few from New York State, Massachusetts and New Jersey. We used the Tidewater Inn (www.thetidewater.com) as our home base, and some Campers chose to stay there. So glad I did, Victoria makes a mean breakfast!
I will update with more pictures from the MadWool facebook page, but here are others I took of the action throughout the weekend:
Ashley Martineau, of Neauveau Fiber Arts took a great movie of the weekend. Watch it even if you don't know a thing about spinning--the music is great and the colors will inspire.
Keep June 2013 open--Lexi will return.....
