Enjoy a fun day working with fiber, using both wet & needle felting, to make a unique wool painting based on a provided design or bring your own reference and we will work together to bring it to life! This class is perfect for the total beginner!

We will start by designing our painting on a wool felt “canvas” using just a bit of needle felting to place the fibers, then we will wet felt the piece using techniques you can use for any wet-felted project. We will then use needle felting techniques for the fine details to make a finished piece. Alternatively, If you enjoy hand or needle embroidery, this project is perfect to add your own special effects that way too!

The class includes all materials, use of tools, a variety of samples and plenty of hands on instruction. Composition, value and color theory will be discussed to make best use of light & shadow, sense of distance and color harmony.

This workshop does require working with soap and water and some vigorous rolling, squeezing and manipulating the wool.  Please dress accordingly with clothes you do not mind getting wet.
