Join us at MadWool as Ashley as throws a fun fiber and spinning party! Included: Giant Fiber Table (mostly natural colors) for carding as many batts as you desire during the class period. Drum carders available for student use. Other fiber prep tools available include hand cards and hackle.

Lesson Plan We will begin with a mindful carding & spinning lesson, then spend the rest of the day freely carding and spinning whatever students are inspired to create. All batts you card you may spin or take home.
Tools to Bring - Spinning wheel & extra empty bobbins - Scissors & Niddy Noddy - Drum carder (optional: to be shared with the class) - Carding goodies: We will be doing a lot of carding, so here's your chance to break out the sari-silk, sparkle, noils or any other little textured fibers in your stash. - 1 lb. dyed wools to blend with the natural-colored fibers included on the fiber table. - Any fiber you want to de-stash from your collection and add to the fiber table pile for students to use. Whatever is left on the fiber table will be taken to the next Fiber Party on Ashley’s tour. - Plying thread. A thread that is difficult to break in a color that you would like to include in your yarn. Crochet thread, sewing thread, or fine novelty yarn works! MadWool will have some plying thread for general use, plus lots of fun add ins for purchase.
During the second half of class time Ashley will be available to instruct students on techniques they want to learn or need help with.
Lunch Break We will take a 1-hour lunch break (when we’re ready) -there are local spots to pick up lunch or you can bring your own. Refrigerator and microwave available.
Show & Tell Bring things you've made or spun to share w/the class and inspire creative ideas.
