Intermediate Crochet: The Humbug Scarf. With Dayna Mankowski. Wednesday, February 15, 2017. 7-9 PM. $20.00. $10.00 deposit holds your space.
Take one skein of beautiful sock/fingering weight yarn (400 yd) and an H hook, and make this gorgeous scarf that reminds us of the famous“Hitchhiker” knit shawl! This fun pattern from the Crochet Project/Kat Goldin is made on the bias, and is easy enough for an advanced beginner (know how to work basic stitches). You will learn how to read a British pattern, make Puff stitches, half double crochet, double crochet, and how to skip stitches. The scarf on the right was made with one skein of Hedgehog Skinny Singles in “Boombox” colorway. It’s the perfect pattern to use variegated yarns as the design eliminates pooling.
