Tapestry is one of the oldest forms of woven textiles with many techniques remaining the same since medieval times. Tapestry produces a plain weave, weft faced cloth built from the bottom up.  How one manipulates the weft threads can make tapestry weaving seem like painting with yarn.  

This beginner class will explore various tapestry techniques such as weft bundles, building shapes, blending colors and working with a cartoon.  Everyone goes home with a small tapestry.
