Introduction to Nuno Felting:  Felted Cowl.   With Lori Neumann (www.menageriebylori.com)   Sunday, March 27, 2022.  10 AM- 5 PM.  $140.00.  $50.00 deposit holds your space.

Price includes most materials.  Additional materials also available for purchase.  Lunch break:  bring your own (fridge and microwave available, plus snacks and tea) or order from local restaurants.

Join Lori as she shows you how to create a wearable piece of art from wool and silk and funky bits!  Nuno felting is a technique that combines wool fibers with an open weave fabric to create wearable pieces with beautiful drape and textural interest.

In this class, we will learn about the properties of wool and how it becomes felt, combining fine merino with silk fabrics to create a thin, wearable piece that also has structural integrity. You will use soap, water, and agitation to create your fabric.  You will learn the fundamentals of fiber layout, choosing materials for your project, and will learn skills that will be applicable to future felting projects.

When registering, please chose a color scheme for your cowl:  1.Earth- neutrals/champagne/golds; 2. Forest-browns/golds/greens, 3. Sky/water- blues/violets/aqua, 4. Sun- yellow/oranges;  5. Summer Garden- pinks/purples; 6. Fire -reds, bright oranges/yellows; 7. Nightowl- black/grey/white/neutrals

This is a wet-felting class, AND VERY PHYSICAL, so come prepared with work/play shoes and clothes
