This one-day workshop will empower you to tackle simple repairs with confidence and flair. Learn proper techniques for tying a knot, sewing a button, mending split seams, shortening hems, patching holes and darning your favorite knits. You’ll learn 4 basic hand stitches (running stitch, back stitch, whip stitch and slip stitch) and discuss how to apply them functionally and decoratively to suit the purposes of any project.

Please bring a basic sewing kit that includes thread, hand sewing needles, scissors, a seam ripper, a thimble and a simple repair project.
