More Fun with Art Yarn Spinning- Creative Plying Workshop.  With Shannon Herrick (The Spun Monkey).  Sunday, April 9, 2017  1-4 PM.  $75.00 (some fiber included).  $20.00 deposit holds your space.  Limit 5 Students.   

Let's see what happens when we spin yarn around yarn in this exploration of plying techniques. We'll start with Navajo-ply (three-ply chain) and then play with using plying for texture building (stacks, coils, crescents, fringe).

Come with one full bobbin of a single-ply, so we can warm up our fingers with chain-plying right away. You'll need extra bobbins, a plying head if you have it, and a lazy kate. Our third hour is student's choice, so think about techniques you want to know more about, or bring materials you are wondering how to use.

What to bring: niddy noddy, extra bobbins, lazy kate, yarn for plying and corespinning, add ins, and any fiber you would like to use.  Some fiber and fun add ins included for you to card your own batts for spinning in class.
