Learn the basic origami folds to create three styles of paper ornaments. You’ll use the modular origami method of folding that starts with multiple sheets of paper to create identical individual units that are then assembled into one finished piece.

I’ll share some fun techniques to brush, splatter, sponge and stamp with your choice of paint colors to make your own unique papers for folding. Holiday inspired pre-printed papers, book pages, sheet music, crystal embellishments and cord for hanging will also be available. These ornaments make great decorations, favors and gifts. All three ornaments are the perfect size to send as a surprise gift inside a special note or greeting card. No experience necessary. All materials and tools will be supplied.

Teaching artist Kathy Johnson has a passion for anything paper or garden related and works in the mediums of collage, mixed media and eco printing. She has enjoyed making different origami models over the years and loves creating origami decorations and table favours for each of the holidays.
