The sweater is worked modularly from the center out using Log Cabin techniques.  You will knit the center front then the center back.  You will then join the shoulders, finish the neck band then pick up stitches along the sides to work to the desired width.  The sides are joined with a 3-needle bind off, then the sleeves are worked down in the round.  Finally, stitches are picked up around and the body is worked down in the round to the desired length.  One block is worked in intarsia, and there is some short row shaping.

The first class will be short – you will be picking out worsted weight yarn colors for the sweater.  We will have colored pencils for use to use the coloring pages in the pattern chart to help with choosing colors , plus the Zoille Palette Scout cards to help with color selection as well.
