Join us for the perfect sweater class! The Great Falls Sweater by Pam Allen is a perfect sweater/tunic- you can wear it as a jacket, with leggings as a dress, and it has pockets! Using chunky yarn, this sweater will knit up fast- in time for a gift or yourself! This is a great class for a beginning sweater knitter as you will learn how to knit a top down, raglan sweater. No seams! If you'd like a bit of a challenge, try The Down East Pullover- it's done with chunky yarn, top down, with some cables and a cowl neck.
Homework: Choosing yarn and making a gauge swatch prior to the first class. There are many chunky/bulky yarns to choose from, but Imperial Yarns Native Twist is a similar yarn to what is used in the Great Falls pattern (and makes a light, lofty fabric). As it takes quite a bit of yarn for the tunic, colors may need to be ordered (takes 1 week). For Downeast, can use Tundra, Misti Alpaca Chunky, or other chunky yarns. Last day to choose yarn is November 4 so it can be ordered in time.
